We believe software should make things simpler, not more complicated.

We started Kroatenwerk because we believe there is still a better way to build software.

Too often, software becomes complicated simply because it can. More layers, more tools, more dependencies, more features, until the original problem gets buried underneath everything built around it.

We want to do the opposite.

We want to build software that is clear, useful and built to last. Software where every part has a reason to exist, where technology serves the problem rather than becoming the problem itself.

That means choosing proven technology when it is the right choice, building new things when they genuinely make sense, and staying curious enough to question both.

We work with businesses and people who have real problems to solve. Sometimes that means building an entirely new system. Sometimes it means replacing something old. Sometimes it means simply making an existing process work the way it should have worked from the beginning.

We are not interested in building software just to say that software was built.

We are interested in useful things. Well-made things. Things that people can understand, rely on and continue to improve years after they were first created.

Kroatenwerk is a software company, but that is not really the point. The point is what we can build with software, and whether what we build actually makes a difference.

We intend to keep building that way.
